Congratulations Takuto!
In 2023, Takuto was invited to an U10 world championship called Smrikva Bowl held in Croatia in June, to represent South Africa along with Giana Smith of Alberhart Tennis Club/Legacy Tennis Academy. In South Africa, Takuto was invited to two prestigious U12 tournaments; South African Clay Court Masters and Gauteng North Mini Masters. Takuto also played school tennis (U13) as No.1 Singles player for Parkview Senior School at Tennis South Africa’s RCS Rising Star Tennis event. After having a year-end break Takuto restarted training towards his new goals; 1) to achieve UTR 6.9 by the end of this year, and, 2) to secure an invitation from the “Little Mo” tournament, which is held in Florida in the United States in December.
Courts Resurfaced
Courts 4 and 5 were comprehensively resurfaced at considerable expense during lockdown in 2020. These courts are now very popular with members. Courts 1,2 and 3 were resurfaced in 2023. Court 3 is currently being touched up and will be playable again from Monday Feb 19
